The Closet
Through community donations, we are able to run a clothing closet full of gently used and new clothing and shoes. Our sizes range from newborn/preemie to teen adult sizes.
We are thankful for the incredible space we have at our current location which gives children an opportunity to truly
shop and take home not only what is needed, but what is wanted. This also gives foster parents a much needed place to rely
on when a child comes into care and as children quickly grow.

From clothing to cribs, shoes to strollers...we likely have it available because of our amazing community!
#1. Your Donations
Clothing Closet
We take seasonal items that are able to assist children and families. New, or like new, clothes are appreciated. If donating at our office, we will meet you inside and accept your donations. You will also receive a tax deductible receipt for your donation if needed.

Items Needed:
Clothing, new or gently used: Preemie-Teen
Pajamas

NEW Socks
NEW Undergarments
Coats/Jackets (in season)

Donation Locations:
Dothan: City Hope
Larger Items
We also accept gently used baby gear. Strollers, carseats and swings, as well as cribs and beds. If you are bringing a large item such as a bed, please let us know before you arrive so we can make sure to have help on hand to bring into the office should you need help.
We will take it from there!
Your donations are sorted and prepared for the foster child who will be able to use it.
#2. Sorting
We will lovingly sort your donations and prepare them. They will be folded or placed on a hanger, then head to the clothing closet.

Your larger items will be inspected and wiped down and also prepare to head to their closet.
#3. Sorted in the closet
After your donations have been prepared, they will be taken to the closet and organized by size and gender. Our closets are made for shopping! When a foster parent or social worker arrives, they can grab a basket and shop away. We always want our closets to be an organized and welcoming environment!

Did we mention that every item that leaves City Hope,
leaves FREE OF CHARGE?

That's right!
There is never a charge
for foster children!
